Content with the iPad 1 for now

Ever since the release of the iPad 2, users of the iPad 1 have been in an uproar over the quick release of the new one. Only slightly more expensive and much more capable, many are quick to buy this new gadget. Unlike most, however, I find comfort in knowing my iPad 1 is stable, and will wait until a new generation of iPads comes out before upgrading. What do you all think?

  1. I'm considering upgrading my phone to a iphone 5. However, I'm not going to touch it before I see how the new iOS is.
    better safe than sorry :)

  2. Ipad2 is like the same as the Ipad 1 anyway.. The more power in the second one isn't being utilized that much so far, and two cameras are just a gimmick, and the first one had the docks for the second camera anyways. I'd be more upset at Apple blatantly charging for sub par products so quick after another.

  4. I'm not partial to iPad, I prefer my laptop as they're basically the same. I would however like to upgrade my phone + iPod to iPhone, as long as its an iPhone with a lot of storage for my music.

  6. I think apple will always come out with a way to get your money... Thus, they will always develop new gadgets very quick after each other...

  9. The only reason why I would get in a line to buy an ipad2 would be the sell that spot to someone else, and get a good 1000$

  10. Wow, I had no idea a new ipad thingy was out. They hold no interest to me, but chances are apple will just keep doing this and releasing new forms every other month. ipad2, ipadi2, ipad2 lite, ipad2 extra, so on and so forth.

  12. not a huge fan of apple products. their classic ipod design works just fine for me, I've had my 5ht gen ipod for 5 years now, and i haven't had a single problem with it.

  18. I think a majority of users are really going to remain content with their iPad 1 - if the price was reduced a bit more, I'm sure Apple would see many more users snatching them up (myself included). It's hard to justify the higher price point for a device with relatively little additional features when iOS 4.3 is responsible for a large margin of the increased "speed" that Apple has been touting with the iPad 2.

  20. It's definitely a surprise that they released the second ipad already considering how long it took to release the first one.

  23. that 'new generation of Ipads' is probably closer then we all think. Give it a month or 2 before rumors of the next model come out lol

  26. Personally, I dislike Apple products because of the lack of customization. I'm a huge Android fan (I have the Xoom, as well as a DX2).

I love flashing ROMS and stuff, so you should definitely look into that.
